Mike Herndon’s story “The Edge of the World” is featured in the June 2010 issue of The Battered Suitcase, published by Vagabondage Press.

I’m proud to say that I had the chance to read this story twice, both in its adolescence and after it had experienced a rather quick journey into adulthood. It was good the first time I saw it, even better the second, and now it’s just plain amazing.

In addition to being a sportswriter for the Press-Register, Mike’s had fiction published in Aura, Oracle Fine Arts Review, Literary Bohemian, Constellation, and elsewhere. He’s also at work on his first novel, which I’ve been fortunate enough to take a couple of peeks at.

Give yourself a treat and check out Mike’s story, along with the other work in this journal.
